Michael Eugene Braden Sr., born on July 17, 1939, in
Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. A dedicated member of his community, Michael was well-liked and
cherished by many friends and neighbors throughout his life.
Michael took great pride in his service to the nation, having served in the United States Marine Corps. This experience not only shaped his character but also instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that resonated throughout his life.
A resident of Mayes County since 1982, Michael’s contributions to the community were significant. He built deep connections with those around him, leaving behind a legacy of friendship and warmth. His proudest accomplishments include not only his military service but also his role as a loving father and grandfather.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael Braden Jr. of Rose, OK; daughter, Deborah Few of Azle, TX; grandchildren, Michael Rising Sun Braden, Clabe Rising Sun Braden, and Robert Rising Sun Braden; and great-grandchildren, Clabe Rising Sun Braden Jr. and Cail Rising Sun Braden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Adelia (Chuk) Braden.
