Judybeth Dorothy “Bethy” Barnett
April 5, 1943 ~ December 5, 2024

Judybeth Dorothy Barnett “Bethy” was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on April 5, 1943, to parents Walter H. Barnett and Jewel E. Tingley Barnett. Bethy went to be with Jesus on December 5, 2024, at the age of 81.

She graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1961. After High School, she continued her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In 1964, she graduated with a degree in arts. She then taught at Central High School in Tulsa until May of 1965 when she joined the Marine Corp. Over her 26-year period, she had many jobs. She retired from the Marine Corp in Colorado as a full Bird Colonel. She spent many years in Colorado before returning home to Sand Springs in 2019.

Bethy is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Jewel Barnett, and brothers Walter Jr. and Paul Barnett.

She is survived by her sister Chloeen and husband Ted Oney, sons J.W. and wife Becky and Stan Oney and wife Kenzie, and many nieces and nephews.
