Evelina Maye (Jackson) Short was born on August 20, 1939 in Porum, Oklahoma to Claude and Mattie (Pemberton) Jackson. She passed away on November 22, 2022 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

Evelina was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mattie Jackson; her husband, Kelley Short; her brother Loyd Jackson; her uncle, Floyd Jackson; her aunt, Fern Jackson; her nephew, Ronnie Jackson; her nieces, Dyrnda Rila, Tammy Girty and Kathy Jackson; her sister-in-law, Zelma Berry; and her brothers-in-law, John Short, Will Short.
Viewing will be held at Mallory Chapel in Porum from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23 and from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 25.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at At The Cross Church. Interment will follow at Fields Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler
