Junie Rian Kizzia
May 2, 1981 ~ July 1, 2021

Junie Rian (Garner) Kizzia was born on May 2, 1981 and passed from this life on July 1, 2021. Junie was loved by many friends and coworkers, as well as three big families, the one she was raised by, the one she was born to, and the one she married into. She loved to play and watch sports, including winning the 1996 Class A Girls Basketball State Championship with the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors. Her biggest accomplishment in life are her children, Kutter Jo and Rian Jacelyn from the marriage of William Tucker Kizzia. She loved being a mother and a proud aunt to her nieces and nephews. Junie was baptized on March 12, 1995 at the Webbers Falls First Baptist Church. She graduated from Webbers Falls High School in 1999, Connors State College in 2001, and Northeastern State University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She started working at the Department of Veterans Affairs the summer after her high school graduation and continued there for the next 22 years as a Senior Veterans' Claim Examiner. She loved Elvis and was able to celebrate a surprise 30th birthday party with the King. She will be greatly missed!

As a member of the Comanche Nation, Junie had tremendous pride in her tribe and her heritage. She was a descendant of Comanche Chief Santa Anna-Comanche War Chief and a direct descendant of Shoshoni Lemhi Band Sacagawea. She was also a descendant of Quanah Parker- last Comanche Chief and Comanche Code Talker Haddon Codynah.

Junie was preceded in death by members of her birth family; Mary Elizabeth Pandocony (paternal grandmother); Michael Mathis (paternal grandfather); Jackie L. Codynah (maternal grandfather); Velia "Heart" Silverhorn (maternal grandmother); and Kevin J. Codynah (uncle).

Junie is survived by her birth family; Leonard John Douglas Mathis (father); Kimberly A. Codynah (mother); Karen J. Kaniatobe (grandmother); sisters, Haley Mathis, Alicia M. Wheeler, Keyone C. Gonzalez, Yawnna V. Arkeketa, Destiny A. Arkeketa, and NiTaya S. Perez; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

In September of 1982, Junie became a Garner and was the pride and joy of the family. She quickly paved her way through life with her free spirit and headstrong ways. Preceding her in death are her mother, Cristella Jo Garner; paternal grandparents, Cecil and Helen Garner; maternal grandmother, Doris Dea Bias; father-in-law, Terry Kizzia; brother-in-law, Dean Kizzia; uncles, Tank Patterson and John Seabolt.

Surviving family members, her children Kutter Jo and Rian Jacelyn Kizzia; father, Butch Garner (Jan); sister, Regan Foreman (Bob); brother, Jordan Garner (Amanda); nieces and nephews, Carson, Jensyn, and Jackson Foreman, Anistyn and Glavin Garner, Mallory Barrett; special cousins, Jaide Wallace and Kristian Jo Clay; mother-in-law, Sheila Kizzia; and lifelong best friend, Amie Perry; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Junie's family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Thursday, June 8, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

Junie's life will be celebrated at 11AM, Friday, July 9, 2021 at Webbers Falls Event Center with Reverend Sam Dunn officiating and Eulogist Brother Rick Shelby. Interment will follow at Fields Cemetery in Porum. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Foreman, Carson Foreman, Brent Perry, Evan Wallace, Mike Kizzia, and Garrett Kizzia. Honorary pallbearers are Ronald Garner, Donald Garner, Heath Garner, Jim Richey, Kameron Ramirez, and Jamie Kizzia.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, OK. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
