James Edward Rolland
June 6, 1964 ~ August 24, 2015

James Edward Rolland was born June 6, 1964 in Muskogee, OK to Donald “Donkey” Rolland and Norma (Cunningham) Rolland. James departed this life Monday, August 24, 2015 in Fort Gibson, OK at the age of 51.

James was raised in Fort Gibson and graduated from Fort Gibson High School in 1983. James made his home in Tulsa, OK and was employed by Road Safe Traffic Systems as Traffic Control Supervisor.

James enjoyed car shows, antique shopping and admiring his extensive crystal collection. James also raised and trained Doberman Pinschers.

James is survived by his long time companion, Randy Tufford and dog Dracko of Tulsa, OK, one son, James “Tooter” Lambert of Porum, OK, one daughter, Tiffany Drywater-Lacey and husband Matthew of Bartlesville, OK and three grandchildren, Mark, Krystal, and Halee McDaniel all of Bartlesville, seven brothers and sisters, Diana Sparks and husband Jimmy of Fort Gibson, OK, Terry Rolland of Vian, OK, Pam Easton and husband David Holeman of Fort Gibson, OK, William David Rolland of Fort Gibson, OK, Sammy Rolland and wife Malinda of Fort Gibson, OK, Tammy Williamson and husband Charles of Gore, OK, Scott Rolland and friend Cindy Tackett of Muskogee, OK, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Leona and Charlie Rolland and Jesse and James Cunningham and two nephews, Christopher Rolland and Zachary Fry.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 5pm to 7pm at Clifford D. Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson, OK.

A celebration of James’ life will be held at 10am Friday, August 28, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson with Tony Shaw officiating.

Interment will follow at the Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson with his nephews Greg Sparks, Jared Sparks, Keith Williamson, Nathan Rolland, and step-sons Jason Lambert and Jeffrey Lambert serving as casket bearers.
