Dorothy (Creekmoore) Hance Montgomery

September 28, 1932 - January 25, 2011

Dorothy Creekmoore Hance Montgomery, 78 year old Council Hill resident, went to live with our Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, January 25th 2011 in Muskogee. She was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1932 in Bixby, OK to Roy Leon and Laura Bell Chrysler Creekmoore.

Dorothy worked as a Nurse’s Aide for Cedar Manor and Checotah Manor Nursing Home for many years.

She is preceded in death by one son Tommy Ray Hance, a sister Nettie Gaither, five brothers, Loyd Creekmoore, Harold Creekmoore, Webb Creekmore, Calvin Creekmoore, and Lonnie Creekmore.

Dorothy is lovingly survived by her two sons, Warren Leon Hance and wife Kay, of Checotah, Charles Hance of Muskogee, and four daughters, Carolyn Sue VonAlman Council Hill, Laura Ann Coggins of Tulsa, Kathryn Elaine Grantham and William Grantham of McAlester, & Stephanie Jean O’Neil and Husband Donnie of Council Hill; nine grandchildren, Warren Hance Jr, Stephanie O’Neil and husband Donnie, Janet Hance, Angela Hance-Womack, Lora Brown and Blake, Tina McCarly, Brandon Hance and wife Destiny, Leslie Johnson-Lovett, Kendall McPeters, James Hance; seventeen great grandchildren, Justin Fuller, Chris O’Neil, Nick O’Neil, Ashlee Standifer, Delane Brown, Alexis Standifer , Gavin McCarly , Skylar Winters, Ryan McCarly, Trenton Hance, Connor Lovett, Logan Winters, Shelby Womack, Aughtum Lovett, Tobi Womack, Keaton Harkey, Memphis Hance. Dorothy is also survived by three siblings, George Creekmoore of Porterville, CA, Peggy Ketcher, Bonnie Comb husband Gene of Canadian, OK & numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends.

 Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 28, 2011, in Council Hill Cemetery, Council Hill, Oklahoma under the personal direction of John Garrett. Donnie O’Neil, Justin Fuller, Chris O’Neil, Nick O’Neil, Brandon Hance, and Ben Meyer will serve as Casket Bearers.
