Ms. Rodslen Brown, 59th year, "Dozed into the peace of Eternal Slumber" on Tuesday afternoon, June 9, 2020 from her home in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Rodslen King-Brown was born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma by her parents Nathaniel and Addie Mae King, alongside her 11 siblings.
Rodslen was a great homemaker, teaching her children arts and crafts, helping develop life skills for the betterment of their future, all while working for the Oklahoma Health Care Authority and caring for the disabled. She loved her children dearly, inspiring and motivating them to pursue their dreams. Rodslen wasthe best role model for her children, teaching lessons to respect everyone,stay together and put God first in their lives. Rodslen greeted everyone with kindness, treated them as her own, and made sure they were taken care of and had their needs met.
Her zeal to help all people caught the attention of Cherokee Nation. Together they begin to build a solid relationship in the community. Rodslen sparked due awareness to the developments within Cherokee Nation and advocating for the Cherokee Freedmen in the community.

Rawlins, Treyson Buchanan, Averi Brown and Maliah Chaplin. Sisters- Margarete
Cope, Rena Logan, Mignon Brooks (Claudie), Vanessa Johnson (Robert), Shena Gunn
(William), Zenobia Howard (Thomas), Natasha Firth (Kevin), Brothers - Edward
King, Tony King (Elisa), Brian Moore and a host of nieces and nephews and family
and friends.
The Celebratory Service honoring her life will commence on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the most holy sanctuary of the Timothy Baptist Church, 5530 West Okmulgee Avenue in Muskogee. Pastor Kelly Payne will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery.
