Bobby Don "Bob" Seward, a resident of Sulphur was born February 24, 1924 in Berwyn, Oklahoma to Fred and Fern (Randolph) Seward. He passed away Saturday January 11, 2020 in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years 10 months and 17 days.
Bob had lived in the Sulphur area most of his life, graduating from Sulphur High School. After high school, he entered the Air Force in 1943 where he flew a total of 32 missions over Germany during WWII. After the military, Bob and Helen L. Goodman were married in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 11, 1946. Bob then worked as a butcher at Jack's Foods in Sulphur and later worked as a highway inspector for the State of Oklahoma Public Transportation Department until his retirement. Bob was a member ot the First Free Will Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Superintendent of Sunday School for 56 years. He was a very quiet man, but will be remembered by his friends and church family by his Sunday School morning hugs. Bob was a man of many talents and could fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Helen Seward, his parents, 4 brothers: Ted, Jack, Fred, & Joe Seward; 2 sisters: Pauline Curry & Johnnie Baker.
Survived by his 2 daughters & sons-in-law: Donna & Gary Mobly, of Sulphur, OK; Gail & Wayland Todd, of Sulphur, OK Grandchildren & spouses: Chad Mobly, Shannon & Joey Muck, Toby & Cassie Todd, Kerri & Clete Cole, Chase & Tessa Todd, Great-grandchildren: MaKella, Mace, & Maddax Mobly, Dawson, Delanie,& Destrie Muck, T.J.& Trace Todd, Carlee, Colten, Cooper, & Coby Cole, and Tenlee, Channing, & Trae Todd, Sister: Mildred Baggett, of Wichita Falls, TX; Pallbearers will be Chad Mobly, Joey Muck, Clete Cole, Chase Todd, TobyTodd, Wayland Todd, and Gary Mobly. Honorary Bearers: Jim Parker, Joe Runyan, Terry Blalock, Charles Glen Leming, Gerry Laxton, Donald Day, Dewayne Leming.
Services will be held Tuesday January 14, 2020 at 10:00AM at First Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Richard Terry.
Burial will be at Oaklawn
