Alta O. Crouse, of Pauls Valley was born December 21, 1937 in Durant, Oklahoma to Ollie and Hattie Bell Mayes Newcomb. She passed away March 5, 2011 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years.

Alta was married to Robert Crouse in Sulphur, Oklahoma on March 25, 1955. She had lived in the Pauls Valley area since 1962. Alta enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Newcomb, Hattie Bell & stepdad Nelson Johnson; and one brother, Pearlie Newcomb.

Surviving family include her husband of almost 56 years, Robert, of the home; 5 children, James and Vicki Crouse of Pauls Valley; Ronald and Becky Crouse of Clearwater, Florida; Sherrie and Rick Tucker of Wayne; Robin and Gary Woodruff of Marietta; and Regina Gregg of Paoli; 8 grandchildren, Jimmy, Jonathan, Angela, Robert, Jennifer, Brian, Jessica and Jayme; 12 great grandchildren and a number of step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Jim Dehart. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Interment and professional services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Robert Oliver Crouse, of Pauls Valley, passed away June 26, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.

Robert was born September 23, 1936 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to John Oliver and Jessie (McClure) Crouse. He was raised in the Sulphur area and on March 25, 1955 he and Alta Ophelia Newcomb were married in Sulphur. In 1962 they came to the Pauls Valley area to make their home. He was a Barber for over 36 year in Pauls Valley with many of those years working at the Pauls Valley State School, now the S. O. R. C. Robert retired in 1998.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Alta Ophelia Crouse; son, James Crouse; one brother and two sisters, Tommy Crouse, Joyce Holmes and Irma Lou Crouse.

Surviving family include five children, Ronald & Becky Crouse of Clearwater, Florida; Sherrie & Rick Tucker of Wayne; Robin & Gary Woodruff of Marietta and Regina Gregg of Paoli; daughter-in-law, Vicki Crouse of Pauls Valley; 8 grandchildren, Jimmy, Jonathan, Angela, Robert, Jennifer, Brian, Jessica & Jayme; 12 great grandchildren, as well as a number of step grand and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Jim Dehart. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery - Sulphur under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
