William Carl "Bunny" Burnside, a resident of Sulphur, was born April 01, 1927 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Dayton & Vela Littleton Burnside.
He passed away Sunday, February 01, 2004 at Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.
He was married to Anna Gertrude (Ross) Burnside at Sulphur on August 08, 1948. Mr. Burnside lived in Sulphur all of his life. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1945 and Murray State College in 1949 with a degree in Agriculture. He attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. He was a Veteran of WWII where he served in the US Navy. He was a rancher, served as a US Park Ranger for 22 years, and retired voluntary fireman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion, Kiwanis, I.O.O.F., A.A.R.P., and the Retired Fireman Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dustin "Dusty" Burnside.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 08, 2004, at the
First Baptist Church
