Howell Cemetery

Murray County, Oklahoma

© Dennis Muncrief

This is the easiest cemetery in Murray County to find. It is located at Exit 55 of Interstate 35. (State Hwy 7 and I-35)
This family cemetery is located on the Murray County line in the northwest part of the County, close to Ft. Arbuckle. There is a wrought iron fence with native stone post around the perimeter.
The general condition of the cemetery is 'excellent'. There has been some theft of finials on monuments but vandalism is at a minimum compared to what I have seen in the past.
Many of the interred are of mixed Native American ancestry. This registry was taken on May 3, 2000.
If you have family buried in the Howell Cemetery or can take a gate photo or have obits (with newspapers permission or an obit that you can write) or tombstone photos or individual portraits or can write a short bio or have a history of the cemetery and would like to add your information to this website, contact the area coordinator for more information. You can also check out our How to Submit page.
NOTICE. If you submit information to this website and change your e-mail address please notify the area coordinator with the county/cemetery and new e-mail address so we can keep our pages as up to date as possible.
NOTE Every effort has been made to transcribe this information accurately. These records MAY CONTAIN ERRORS. Any corrections and/or additions greatly appreciated.
