Former Shawnee resident Dorotha Jean Peak, 70, died Sunday at Baptist Medical Center in Sulphur.
She was born in Roff, Okla., on July 11, 1930, the daughter of Lawrence Walker and Pearl Morris.
On Sept. 11, 1948, she married Doyle Peak in Sulphur.
She was reared in the Lawrence community and had graduated from Fitzhugh High School.
In 1950, she moved to Sulphur, where she was living at the time of her death.
Peak worked as a clerk typist for the Department of Human Services before her retirement.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of the home; sons, Tony Peak of Howard, Colo., and Danny Peak of Wynnewood; daughters, Sunny Wells of Sulphur and Judy Edwards of Vancouver Wash.; eight grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Wynn of Ada.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Drake Cemetery Sulphur. The Rev. Eddie Malphrus will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home, Sulphur.
