Wesley Dalton, age 70, formerly of Burns Flat, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at
Kewanee Hospital in Kewanee, Illionois. He was born May 7, 1932 in Oklahoma
City the son of C.O. and Grace (McCullum) Dalton.
Wesley was employed from 1955-1956 with D.B. Ray Oil Reports in Oklahoma City.
He was then employed at the Clinton Co-op until going to Burns Flat Co-op in
1965 as the bookkeeper until he became manager, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Burns Flat and the
Masonic Lodge of Foss, OK. He enjoyed fishing, camping and water skiing at
Landing #9 at lake Eufaula, OK.
Surviving is a daughter Shannon Kocmoud and husband Bill of Kewanee, Illionois
and one son Alan Dalton and wife Elaine of Dill City, OK. Four Grandchildren,
Trisha, Donna, Kirk, and Scan Wray all of Kewanee, Illionois and one sister
Frances Benton of Los Angeles, CA and many more extended friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his paretns C.O. and Grace Dalton and his son David
Dalton.
Memorial services were held 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church in Burns Flat, with burial in the Canute Cemetery. Jack
Loftiss Funeral Home of Cordell was in charge of services.
