Memorial services for John Ira Dennis of Luowici, GA, were held September 11, 2002 at the Carter Funeral Home in Hisesville, GA. Interment followed at the
Hinesville Cemetery.
Dennis was killed in an electrical accident of Friday September 9, 2002 at the
age of 46.
He was born in Pampa, TX on April 26, 1955. While growing up, he spent many
summers visiting his grandparents, Manuel and Mary Flaming in Cordell. He
attended and graduated from Corn Bible Academy.
John spent over 20 years in the Army, retiring in November of 2001. During his
military career he spent over a year in 1991 in Saudi Arabia. After retirement,
he and his wife Tina and their children Shannon and Joe made their home in
Ludowici, GA.
John loved to laugh and children had a special place in his heart. He was a
member of the Harley Davidson Club in GA and enjoyed riding the vintage bikes.
He also loved the Lord and shared his faith through a bible study that was held
weekly in his shop. His biking friends attended as well as others from the
community.
Survivors include his wife Tina and children Shannon and Joe of the home in GA,
a grandson Andrew, Nadine Dennis of Las Vegas, NV; his parents Edgar and
Sharline Dennis of Flowery Branch, GA; his sister Julie and her husband Roger
Kuykendall and their daughters April and Stephanie, Sugar Hill, GA and his
grandparents Manuel and Mary Flaming of Fairview, OK formerly of Cordell, OK.
