The funeral service for Pattie M. Wright were Saturday, March 2, 2002 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Goltry. Rev Norman Cullumber will officiate. Burial will be in Karoma Cemetery near Goltry with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home of Helena. Patti Mable Mourer Wright was born November 9, 1905 near Hillsdale, the daughter of Jacob and Prudy McKelvey Mourer and died Monday, February 25, 2002 in Enid. She attended Prairie View rural grade school, Carrier 8th grade, then Goltry School system, graduating in 1923. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha for one year, then taught at Prairie View Rural grade school from 1924-1926 while attending Phillips University. She taught 1926-1927 in Goltry. She and Orville E. Wright were married at Goltry in 1925. She returned to Phillips University in 1950, graduating in 1955 with a BS Degree in Education. She then taught 15 years at Goltry and two years at Helena retiring in 1971. She was a member of Goltry Congregational Church and had the honor of being awarded Oklahoma Historic Society Hall of Fame. Surviving are two daughters, Dott Donnell of Enid and Patsy Crain of Goltry; one son, Don Wright of Enid; fourteen grandchildren; three step grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Vera Scott and Mary Ann Wright and two brothers, Zan and Roy Mourer.
