WINTER, MATILDA (MINNICH) 1875-1969
Funeral services for Mrs. Matilda Winter, 94, were Sunday, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dan MacKenzie and Rev. Harold Janzen officiated at the United Church of Christ. Mrs. Winter died December 18th, 1969. She was born July 6, 1875 at Odessa, South Russia, and came to America in 1923 to Hebron, North Dakota. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. Burial was in the Bierig Cemetery, Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma, directed by Keller and Landes Funeral Home of Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma. Bearers were Carl Winter, Elmer Winter, Herman Winter, Reuben Winter, Reuben Weber, Edwin Weber. Honorary bearers were O. E. Durham, Alex Winter, John Weinmeister, Herbert Weber, Henry Stricker and J. T. Shed. For many years, Mrs. Winter had been cared for by her niece, Mrs. Eugene Zaeringer. Other survivors are one son: George Winter of Weatherford, Oklahoma, two daughters: Mrs. Mary Sauer of Ft. Collins, Colorado; and Mrs. Hanna Durham of Vero Beach, Florida, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
