IN MEMORY OF MARTHA PEARL WANZER 1893-1981
Martha Pearl Wanzer, 88, died early Wednesday, May 27th, 1981 in an Okeene, Oklahoma nursing home. Funeral services were Friday, May 29th, 1981 in the United Methodist Church at Hitchcock, Oklahoma with the Rev. Bill Champlin and the Rev. Duane Roever officiating. Burial followed in the Venable Cemetery at Loyal under direction of Sission Funeral Home of Okeene. Mrs. Wanzer was born February 21st, 1893 in Atchison, Kansas and in 1914 married Clarence Wanzer at Kingfisher, Oklahoma. She was a housewife and had been a telephone operator for one year. Mrs. Wanzer was also a member of the Methodist Church, and had been a resident of Hitchcock area all of her life. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Homer (Erma) Schneider of Hitchcock, Oklahoma; one son, Merle E. Wanzer of Hitchcock; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1954; one son in 1981; a grandson in 1966; an infant daughter; five sisters, and one brother.
