FUNERAL NOTICE - WINTER, HARVEY 1915-1989
Funeral services for Harvey Winter, 74, who died Thursday, September 21st, 1989, at Bass Baptist Hospital, in Enid, Oklahoma, were held Monday, September 25th, 1989 at St. John's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Roberta Ganzer officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery, Okeene, Oklahoma, under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary. Winter was born August 10, 1915, in Okeene, Oklahoma to Gottfried and Eva Winter, and lived most of his life in the Okeene area. He worked as a truck driver for Okeene Milling Company and also was a machinist for George E. Falling Company for 20 years. He attended Deep Creek School and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He and Leona Weber were married on July 27th, 1937. Survivors include his wife; a son, Harlan of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Shari Payne of Norman; one brother, Otto of Okeene; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and an aunt, Hannah (Winter) Durham of Vero Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by one brother. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.
