C. R. "Ray" Winter - Funeral services for C.R. "Ray" Winter was held Tuesday, May 17, 1988, at the Bykota Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas, with the Rev. Mel Hooten officiating. Burial was held in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Winter died on Saturday, May 14, 1988 in Amarillo, Texas. C.R. "Ray" Winter was born on April 1, 1913 in Okeene to Gottfred and Eva Winter. He moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1955 where he served and retired as Construction Superintendent for Panhandle Steel Building and Corporation. Mr. Winter was a member of Bykota Baptist Church and was a member of Kane Acres Sunday School. Mr. Winter is survived by his wife, Ruby of Amarillo, Texas, one daughter, Twila Baker also of Amarillo, one son, Dwight of Canyon, Texas, two brothers, Harvey Winter of Okeene, Oklahoma and Otto Winter of Enid, Oklahoma. Six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive him. Memorials may be made to the Bykota Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas.
