WEBER, BLANCHE PANAMA (HINTON) 1914-2000
OKEENE - The funeral for Blanche Panama (Hinton) Weber, 85, will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. The Revs. Kenneth Wilcox and Monte Michaelson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Stanley-Lee Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be at the funeral home, then at the church in Okeene beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday. She was born August 9th, 1914 in Holly, Colorado to Thomas Dawson and Ella Mae (Steele) Hinton and died Wednesday, March 8th, 2000 at Okeene Hospital. At age three, she moved with her family to Sedgwick, Kansas, where she finished high school. She attended nursing school at Halstead, Kansas. On December 21st, 1935 she married Walter Weber in Wichita, Kansas. They move to Okeene and farmed until 1978, when they moved to town. She was a nurse at Okeene Hospital for many years and was an active member of Zion Baptist Church in Okeene, serving as organist and holding many church offices. She was a nurse at church camp. Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Gregg of Clinton, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren: Kay, Kevin, and Kyle. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989, four brothers, and four sisters.
