Funeral services for Alta May (Daniels-Osborn) Wells, 88, were October 21st, 2002 at the Chapel of Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee, Oklahoma with Rev. Roland Youngberg officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Amorita Cemetery, Cherokee, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee, Oklahoma. May was born September 27th, 1914 to William Harrison and Alta Ann (Johnson) Walton in Byron Oklahoma. She departed this life October 18th, 2002 at the Cherokee Manor. May married Sam Daniels on December 12th, 1931. He departed this life on October 10th, 1964. May later married Raymond Osborn and following his death, she married Albert Wells. She lived her entire life in the Byron, Amorita, and Corwin, Kansas communities with the exception of a brief time when she lived in Wichita, Kansas. She attended the Corwin Presbyterian Church and after she moved to Cherokee in 1992 she attended the Friends Church. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family and loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by four children: Pat and Floyd Case of Hemet, California; Bill and Dolly Daniels of Cherokee, Oklahoma; Jim and Glennis White of Cherokee, Oklahoma; and Lavada Bennett of Enid, Oklahoma; one sister, Eva Skeen of Palmdale, California; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter and a host of living sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one infant son, Cecil James, one son-in-law, Floyd E. Bennett, two brothers and five sisters. Memorials may be made to Love Fund for the Employees of Cherokee Manor or to Alva hospice through Lanman Funeral Home, Inc.
