SCHNELL, MARTHA (HEIN) 1888-1923
Mrs. Martha Schnell was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Hein. She was born on the 7th day of November, 1888. At that time her parents lived on a farm near Marion, Kansas. In the year of 1899 she moved with her parents from Marion, Kansas to near Okeene, Oklahoma, and lived here until death called her home. In the year of 1910 she was converted and became a Christian, and on the 3rd of April was Baptized and taken up in the Mennonite Brethren Church as a member and which she has been a faithful member and sister until her death. In the same year of 1910 she was united in holy matrimony to John S. Schnell, and to them there were six children born, five boys and one girl, one boy, 18 months old, having died in 1914. Mrs. Schnell had been for some time complaining and not being well. On the 11th of April she was brought to the Okeene Hospital for an operation, but died five days later. Mrs. Schnell lived to be 36 years, 5 months and 10 days old. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, five children, father and mother, two brothers, three sisters, and many friends.
