SENEKER, JACOB S. (1835-1923)
Jacob S. Seneker was born in Sullivan County, East Tennessee May 13, 1835 and died February 3, 1923 at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 21 days. He was married September 22, 1857 to Miss Sarah Catherine Wolford, to whom 9 children were born. He is survived by his wife and 4 children; Mrs. Mary Hayes of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Walters of Knoxville, Tennessee, G. W. Seneker of Okeene, Oklahoma, and John L. Seneker of Wichita, Kansas. He was a pioneer of Kansas coming hiere in the spring of 1878 and being a resident of Derby, Kansas for 37 years. For the past 8 years he has made his home with his son G. W. Seneker of Okeene. The funeral services were held at the Seneker home on Monday, being conducted by Rev. Barr, pastor of the Christian Church. Internment was made at the Parvin Cemetery. W. H.
