J. N. SCHNELL DEAD - J. N. Schnell, age 74 years, 7 months, and 18 days, died at his home 3 miles south and 1 east of Okeene, Wednesday morning, April 25th 1923. Mr. Schnell was thrown from a buggy about two weeks before. He did not seem to be seriously injured at the time, but he had a weak heart and this accident hastened the end. Mr. Schnell is one of the pioneers of this country, having lived here for 24 years. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, eight sons and one daughter. The funeral will be held at the farm home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock and interment made in the Schafer Cemetery. Southeast of town. His gravestone in Ebenfeld Cemetery (aka Schafers) reflects the incorrect dates of 1851 and 1923.
