OKEENE - The funeral for Henry Stricker, 94, who died Wednesday, June 10th, 1992 at the Okeene Hospital will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. John's United Church of Christ in Okeene, Oklahoma. The Rev. Van Herd will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary. He was born September 7th, 1897 in Scherbakofka, Russia to George and Marie Elizabeth (Schneider) Stricker and moved with the family to America in 1900. The family settled near Lahoma, Oklahoma, later moving to a farm in the Woodward, Oklahoma area. On December 28, 1919 he married Hannah Haffner at St. John's United Church of Christ in Okeene. They settled on a farm near Fargo, Oklahoma, later moving to Blaine County to a farm northwest of Okeene. They moved into Okeene in 1949, and he did carpentry work. He also was a member of St.John's Church of Christ and was a Sunday School teacher. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Eva Mae Stoddard of Washington; and four grandchildren.
