ROBINSON, LLOYD 1925-2002
Funeral service for Lloyd Robinson, 76, was on Tuesday, May 7th, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cleo Springs First Christian Church with the Reverend Connie Schlarb officiating. Burial followed at Cleo Springs City Cemetery under direction of Lanman Funeral Home of Helena. He was born November 30th, 1925 in Helena, Oklahoma to Guy and Viola (McCray) Robinson. On June 30, 1950 he married Betty Baker in Wichita, Kansas. He was a mechanic-pumper and oilfield production foreman for Union Texas Petroleum retiring in February 1993. He served as a combat veteran in the United States Army during World War II. He had lived in the Fairview and Cleo Springs area most of his life and attended the First Christian Church in Cleo Springs. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; five children: Debbie Lane of Enid, Oklahoma; Guy Robinson of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma; Vanessa Robinson of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma; Justine Robinson of Enid, Oklahoma; Scott Robinson of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma; four sisters: Ernestine Baggett of Lawton, Oklahoma; Verda Young of Carmen, Oklahoma; Dovie Farmer of Buffalo, Oklahoma; Dolly Stanton of Dodge City, Kansas; one brother, Harold of Liberal, Kansas; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Cleo Springs or the Cleo Springs Fire Department and First Responders through the funeral home.
