PALMER, CHESTER JA'ACOV 1937-2002
Chester Ja'acov Palmer, 64, died Sunday, February 24, 2002 at his home in Norman, Oklahoma. Graveside services were Wednesday, February 26 at Goodhope Cemetery near Helena, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home of Helena. Chester was born March 3, 1937 in Helena to Helen Gibson and Cecil K. Palmer. He graduated from Helena High School, served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959 and graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva with a Master's degree in History. He retired from James Crabtree Correctional Center in Helena after fifteen years of service. He is survived by his wife, Carol of Norman; four sons, Joseph, Gill and wife, Ofra of Israel, Jonathan and Mark; three daughters, Captain Ramit Ring and husband Captain Benjamin Ring of texas, Tal Liad; two granddaughters, Shoham and Eden of Israel; three brothers, Kenneth and wife, Barbara of Ringwood, Jerry and wife Virginia of Helena, and Jim of Helena as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Jack, and a sister, Shirley. As printed in "The OKEENE RECORD", Thursday, March 7, 2002, Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma.
