The funeral for Sam Nusz, 86, who died Sunday, November 6, 1988 in a local hospital was held Wednesday, November 9, in the Wilkinson Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Bennett Peters officiated the services. Burial was held at the Bierig Cemetery. Nusz was born March 5, 1902 near Isabella. He was a resident of the Okeene and Isabella communities all of his life. He was a section hand for the railroad. Nusz attended Arapaho Schools and was a member of the Mennonite Bretheren Church in Okeene. Nusz married Lilly Rade at Enid in 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janice Laubach of Okeene; a sister, Hannah Weber also of Okeene; and three grandchildren.
