Peter Nuss, 85, died Thursday at the Great Bend Manor after a long illness. He was born October 22nd, 1889 in Barton County Kansas and was married to Amelia Stinert on March 12, 1908 in Barton County, Kansas who preceded him in death on March 8th, 1969. He had been a resident of the Great Bend Manor for the past three years and a resident of Great Bend since 1943 coming from Galatia, Kansas. He had been a barber in Galatia and a carpenter in Great Bend. He was a lifetime member of the Luther Church. Survivors are one son: Bill L. Ray Nuss, of Great Bend, Kansas; two daughters: Mrs. Hubert (Martha) Karst of Russell, Kansas; Mrs. Arthur (Gertie) Dietz of Great Bend, Kansas; one brother: Dave Nuss of Salina, Kansas; two sisters: Mrs. Lena Lust of Hoisington, Kansas, and Mrs. Harold Schneider of Hoisington, Kansas; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Immanuel Lutheran Church, Milberger, Kansas with Rev. Robert Kreir officiating. Burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery at Galatia, Kansas. Friends may call after 2:30 pm. Friday at the Bryant -Fryberger Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to the church.
