The funeral service for Katherine Nusz, 88, who died on Wednesday, February 13, 2002, was held on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at the Homestead Bible Church with the Rev. Nathan Goshert officiating. Burial followed at the Roselawn Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home of Okeene. Mrs. Nusz was born on February 20, 1913 in Russia, the daughter of Henry Weber and Eva Winter Weber. She attended a country school through the 8th grade. In August 1932 she married Albert Nusz in Enid. She was a Nurses Aide and Ward Clerk at the Okeene Hospital for 20 years and attended St. John's United Church of Christ in Okeene. She had lived in the Okeene area her entire live. Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Weaver of Okeene; two grandchildren, Kathy Jo Silvey and husband, Gaylon of Billings, Bart Weaver and wife, Regina of Okeene; six great-grandchildren, Susie Holden, Clint Becker, Lori Becker, Kaylee Boeckman, Krysten Weaver, Devin Weaver; one great-great-grandchild, Savanah Becker; one sister, Eva Ruth Rowland, Oklahoma City; four brothers, Victor Weber, Chamberberg, Pennsylvania, George Weber, Clinton, Oklahoma, Albert Weber, Harrah, Oklahoma, and Lester Weber, Fairview, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1990, four sisters, two brothers, one grandson, and one son-in-law.
