HOISINGTON - Herman Nuss, 92, died February 12th, 1998 at the Hoisington Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 4th, 1906 at Galatia, Kansas the son of Henry and Lizzie (Nuss) Nuss. A Hoisington resident for 51 years, moving from Great Bend, he was a retired barber. He belonged to the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 33,1 A.F. & A.M., and the Order of Eastern Star, Una Chapter No. 119, all at Hoisington. On August 7th, 1929, he marreid Frankie L. Cole at Ness City, Kansas. She died October 30th, 1997. Survivors include : two daughters : Barbara Nuss of Hoisington, Kansas ; and Sharon Hoch of Pomona, Kansas ; and two grandchildren : Christopher Hoch of Chicago, Illionois ; and Michelle Hoch of Lawrence, Kansas. He was preceded in death by two brothers : Leo Nuss and Robert Nuss. Funeral will be at 10 :30 a.m. Monday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home of Hoisingtion, with the Rev. Joseph Coachman presiding. Friends may call from 10 :00 a.m. to 8 :00 p.m. today and 1 :00 to 8 :00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hoisington Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
