HOISINGTON - Emanuel Nuss, Jr. 66, of Hoisington, died Saturday afternoon at the Hoisington Hospital after a short illness. Born April 15th, 1901 in Barton County, Kansas, he married Caroline Karst October 30th, 1921 in Barton County, Kansas. A resident of Milberger and Galatia communities all his life, he was a farmer. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Milberger. He is survived by the widow: sons: Milton and Wilbert, both of Hoisington, Kansas, and Ralph of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughter: Mrs. Harold Krug of Garden City, Kansas; brothers: Pete, of Great Bend, Kansas; Ben J. of Hoisington, Kansas; and David of Salina, Kansas; sisters: Mrs. John Stenzel of Windsor, Colorado; Mrs. Emanuel Ehrlick of Hutchinson, Kansas; Mrs. Lena Lust and Mrs. Harold Schneider, both of Hoisington, Kansas; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Burgat Chapel for the family and at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Emil Kuehn officiating, assisted by Rev. G. Weise. Burial will be in the Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until noon Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the church memorial fund.
