NUSZ, DAVID GEORGE 1860-1937
DAVID NUSZ -- HEART ATTACK IS FATAL FOR HITCHCOCK RESIDENT -- David Nusz died suddenly from a heart attack at Hitchcock last Friday, July 23, 1937. He was 7 months and 7 days past his 76th birthday. Mr. Nusz was born in Dobrinka, Russia on December 16, 1860. He was united to Miss Julia Becker in the year 1888. They immigrated to the United States and made their home at Marion, Marion County, Kansas. In the year 1889, they moved to Oklahoma, settling on a farm south and west of Okeene. To this union were born seven children: all of whom are living. They are: David Nusz of Elk City, Alex Nusz of Hitchcock, Mrs. John Hoffman of Okeene, Mrs. Daniel Woodward of Enid, Mrs. Fred Schaffler of Hitchcock, and Mrs. Eldred Hansen of Modesto, California. Mr. Nusz was converted and baptized into the Church of God in the year 1892, and remained a faithful member of the Church until his death. He leaves to mourn his death, his widow, seven children, 21 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Hitchcock High School Auditorium, Sunday, July 25, 1937. Reverend Weis of Hitchcock and Reverend Latchau of Enid, Pastor of the Church of God conducted.
