Funeral services for David D. Nusz was held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church and was conducted by Rev. H. N. Harder. Mr. Nusz, who was born October 15th, 1879 in Russia, died May 10th, 1945 at the age of 65 years, 6 months, and 26 days. At the age of 7 he came with his parents, George and Christina to Marion, Kansas. In 1892, the family came to Blaine County and settled 6 miles south of Okeene. On January 12th, 1902 he was united in marriage to Katherine Sophia Becker. To this union were born 16 children: 8 sons and 8 daughters. One daughter, Lillie Mary, preceded him in death on June 5, 1935. He was a faithful husband and a devoted member of the church, and always had good to say about all his friends. Left to mourn his passing, his widow, 2 brothers, 29 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. All children were present except one son in the armed forces, serving in Germany.
