NUSS, AMALIA (SCHNEIDER) 1893-1978
Mrs. Henry W. (Amalia) Nuss - Hoisington. - Mrs. Henry W. (Amalia) Nuss, 85, 313 E. First, Hoisington, died Saturday in Homestead Villa Nursing Home as the result of a long illness. She was born Amalia Schneider on January 17th, 1893 in LeHigh, Kansas. She had been a Hoisington resident since 1912, coming from Lehigh. She married Henry W. Nuss June 5, 1912, in Lehigh, Kansas. She was a housewife. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and the Victory EHU, both of Hoisington, Kansas. Survivors include her husband ; five sons : Elmer of Rome, Italy ; Clarence of Fresno, California ; Bob and Glenn, both of Hoisington, Kansas ; and Gene of Albuquergue, New Mexico : two daughters : Mrs. Irene Simmons of Hoisington, Kansas and Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Chaffee of Albuquergue, New Mexico ; two sisters : Mrs. Johanna McCormick of Muskegon, Michigan, and Mrs. Floyd (Ann) Ball of Newton, Kansas ; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, Kansas. Memorials have been established to the church and the Mike Nuss Scholarship Fund.
