FUNERAL NOTICE - NUSZ, ABRAHAM 1903-1964
Abe Nusz Dies - Abe Nusz, who spent his entire life in the Okeene community, died unexpectedly last Saturday, March 7th, he was 61. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Rev. Penn S. Chambers officiating. Mrs. William Heffel was pianist and accompanied a quartet composed of William Heffel, G. W. Bisel, Sam Fox Jr. and Virgil Nusz. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery with Keller & Landes Funeral Home in charge. Active bearers were Isaac Nusz, Roy Nusz, Jim Nusz, Henry Nusz, Richard Nusz and Willie Borth. Honorary bearers were Otis Goforth, Frank Johnson, Gene Gorforth, Durwood Goforth, Roy Broady, and Leo Laubach. The obituary appears on page 6. NUSZ, ABRAHAM
OKEENE - Abe Nusz, son of Henry and Katherina Nusz, was born on April 8, 1903, at Okeene, Oklahoma, and departed this life Saturday, March 7, 1964, at the Okeene Municipal hospital, reaching the age of 60 years and 11 months. He spent his childhood on the farm southeast of Okeene. He was baptized and confirmed in the St. John's E. & R. Church of Okeene. For the past of 19 years he had been employed by Goforth Equipment Co., of Okeene as tractor mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two sisters, Amelia and Martha, and two brothers, Dave and Ben. He leaves to mourn his passing five brothers, Carl, Ed, Adam, Fred and Albert, all of Okeene; one sister, Mrs. Ray Winter of Amarillo, Texas; two aunts and two uncles; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Abe's hobby was music. Often on passing his home you would hear the strings of music. His smiling face and friendly greeting will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
