MATTOX, Mrs. WILLIAM - 1923
Mrs. William Mattox died in the home of her sister Mrs. Reaves, in Hutchinson, Kansas, March 1st, 1923. Mrs. Maddox and husband had lived near Homestead for a number of years and had many friends. She went to a hospital in Hutchinson nine weeks ago for treatment. Rev. Cooper preached the funeral sermon in Hutchinson and also accompanied the remains for burial in the Plymouth Cemetery northwest of Homestead on March 6, 1923. Mrs. Maddox leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, William Maddox, two sisters, Mrs. J. Reaves of Hutchinson, Kansas and Mrs. Angeline Bean, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, H. E. Martin of Anthony, Kansas; and Seaman Martin, of seven miles southwest of Okeene; all of whom were at the funeral service.
