IN MEMORY OF MARGARET (WEIDLE) MOORE 1884-1981
Margaret Weidle Moore died Wednesday, May 6th, 1981, in Tacoma, Washington, at age 97. Services were held Sunday, May 10th, 1981 in the Geary First United Methodist Church with Dr. Vancel Garoutte in charge. Burial was in Geary Cemetery, Geary, Oklahoma, under direction of Turner Funeral Home. Born January 10th, 1884 in Riley County, Kansas to Joseph and Anna Weidle, she came to Blaine County with her family by covered wagon and homesteaded here in 1898. She married Guy Leroy Moore in Oklahoma City on November 11th, 1911. He died on April 19th, 1967. She had resided in Elkhart, Kansas from 1942 to 1969 and for the last 12 years had lived in her son's home in Tacoma, Washington. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Witcher of Elkhart, Kansas; two sons, Eugene of Richfield, Kansas; and Warren L. of Tacoma, Washington; a brother, Martin Weidle of Geary, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three daughers: Joy Anna Moore in 1920; Janice Olivett Moore in 1935, and Margaret Stella Holder in 1977.
