David Martin, aged 69 years, passed away Monday afternoon of last week at his home in Hennessey, Oklahoma. He had been ill of Liver trouble for many weeks, but his death was attributed to heart failure. He was stricken while standing in his own dooryard, and was assisted to a seat on the porch by his wife, but a few minutes before the end. He was conscious to the last. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. As a mark of respect, local business houses were closed during the duration of the services.
