METCALF, BERYL FLORINE (BLACKLEDGE) 1923-2002
Funeral services for Beryl Florine "Flo" Metcalf were held on Friday, March 15, 2002 in Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee, Oklahoma with Dr. Ron Hansen officiating. Burial followed at Timberlake Cemetery northeast of Helena with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home of Cherokee. Flo was born on July 12, 1923 at Cleveland, Oklahoma, the daughter of Burt and Grace Goldy Blackledge. She died at her home on Tuesday, March 12, 2002. She attended grade school at and graduated from Jet High School. On July 28, 1943, she and Ivan R. Metcalf were married. She was a lifetime resident of the Cherokee area. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Ivan of rural Cherokee; two sons and their wives, Grover Kent and Martha Metcalf of Perry and Donald LaVerne and Gloria Metcalf of Alva; four grandchildren, three nieces and other relatives and friends.
