LORENZE, LYDIA - 1910-1995
OKEENE - The funeral for Lydia Lorenze, 84, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the St. John's United Church of Christ in Okeene. The Rev. Van Herd will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under direction of Wilkinson Mortuary. She was born October 1, 1910 in Messer, Russia, to Karl and Katherine Lorenz and died Friday, March 24, 1995, at the Okeene nursing home. She had moved with the family from Russia to the Okeene area in 1923 and attended schools in that area. She spent her entire life working in the Okeene area as a domestic and baby-sitter. She attended St. John's United Church of Christ where she played the piano, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. Surviving are one sister, Emma Adler of Indiahoma; a sister-in-law, Margy Lorenz of Okeene; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
