Lydia Winter: Born: February 5, 1911, Schukofts, Russia. Died: July 2, 1995, Hillsboro, Kansa. Daughter of Jacob H. and Eva (Wasemiller) Winter. At about the age of six months, her family immigrated to the United States. On April 22, 1934, Lydia was united in marriage to Dave Laubahn. They had four children: Evelyn, LaVern, Glenn, and Richard. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Carl Winter. Survivors include: her husband Dave; daughter Evelyn Cherry; sons Lavern and his wife Kay, Glenn and his wife Sue, Richard and his wife Barbara; sisters Leah Laubhan of Hillsboro and Emma Weber of Herington; and brothers Reinhold Winter and Edwin Winter, both of Durham, Kansas.
