Funeral services for Jake Lehr, 70, were Tuesday, April 15, 1969 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Baptist Church. He died April 12, 1969 after a lengthy illness. Rev. Karl Bieber conducted the services. Mrs. O.G. Graalman was organist. A quartet sang, Weldon Geis, Elmer Fisher, Willis Geis, and Karl Bieber. Bearers were Raymond Lehr, Milton Lehr, Harley Lehr, Ernie Lehr, David Tautfest, and Chester Link. Keller & Landes Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements. The obituary will appear next week. Jacob Lehr was born May 1, 1898 in the Deep Creek community north of Okeene, Oklahoma. He died April 12, 1969 at the Okeene Municipal Hospital. On June 8, 1924 he was united in marriage to Amelia Conradi in Flint, Michigan, where the couple resided until 1930 when they moved to Okeene. In 1949 they moved to a farm near Watonga returning to live in Okeene in 1962. Mr. Lehr was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in his early years and later became a member of the Zion Baptist Church of Okeene. Survivors are his wife, Amelia of the home; a daughter, Mollie Ann, Mrs. Jack Hays of Atsugi, Japan; a son, Marvin Ray Lehr of Victoria, Texas; two grandchildren, four sisters: Mrs. Andrew (Lydia) Nusz of Enid, Oklahoma; Mrs. H.K. (Molly) Laubach of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mrs. Henry (Marie) Karle, of Gering, Nebraska; Mrs. Dave (Bertha) Tautfest of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three brothers, Carl and Fred of Okeene, Oklahoma and Harry of Midland, Michigan.
