FAIRVIEW - Services for John Bernard Lohrenz, 92, who died Tuesday in a Fairview Hospital, will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Sharon Mennonite Church, north of Fairview. The Rev. Arnold Curby and the Rev. Don Crisp will officiate. Burial will be in the Sharon Mennonite Cemetery, directed by Fairview Funeral Home. Lohrenz was born January 13, 1894 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to Diedrick D. and Anna Wiens Lohrenz. When he was 6, the family moved to Major County. Lohrenz and Helena Hiebert were married May 25, 1919 at Orienta, Oklahoma. They lived and farmed west of Orienta until moving to Fairview in 1967. Lohrenz was a member of the Sharon Mennonite Church. He is survived by two sons, Gene, Orienta, Oklahoma, and Norman, Findley, Ohio; four daughters: Mrs. Jamie (Anita) Robertson of Seattle, Washington, Betty Goddard of Fairview, Oklahoma, Mrs. Ralph (Lorraine) Buller of Hydro, Oklahoma, and Mrs. LaVern (Donna) Nickel of Weatherford, Oklahoma; 26 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, two daughters, three brothers and a sister. Memorials may be made to the Sharon Mennonite Church, either direct or through the funeral home.
