LORENZ, HOWARD 1915-1981
Funeral services for Howard Lorenz, 65, Enid, were held Monday, February 2, in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Enid. The Rev. Don Long and the Rev. John Matthiesen officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, under the direction of Landusau-Evans Funeral Home. Lorenz died Friday, January 30, 1981, in an Enid hospital. Born May 21, 1915 in Hitchcock, he was the son of Charles and Katherine Lorenz. He married Erma Vogt in Okeene, July 28, 1838. Lorenz lived on a farm until 1951 when he moved to Enid. He worked at Oven Dairy and Orchard Hills Angus Farm before going to Gold Spot Dairy in 1965. Lorenz retired in 1976. He was a charter member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Lorenz was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers. Survivors include his wife Erma, Enid; one daughter, Janet Lorenz, Enid; two sons, Bob, Enid; and Mike, Athens, Georgia; two brothers, Virgil, Hitchcock, and Clifford, New Jersey; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
