LAUBACH, HERMAN FRANK 1907-1989
OKEENE - Funeral services for Herman Frank Laubach,81, who died Monday, May 22nd, 1989 at Okeene Hospital will be held Thursday, May 25th, 1989 at 2 p.m.at the Zion Baptist Church. Rev. Leland Freisen will officiate the services. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene. Herman was born November 25th, 1907 to Charles and Anna Armbrecht at Okeene, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of the Okeene community his entire life, where he attended his school years and was later employed as an interior decorator and a farmer. He was an active member of the Zion Baptist Church, where he was a life long trustee and a deacon for several years. He was also active in all the men's activities in the church. Herman was an avid sports enthusiast and supported all the Okeene High School sports events. He married Elma Vogt at Okeene, Oklahoma on November 25th, 1928, they celebrated his 81st birthday and their 61st wedding anniversary while he was in the Baptist Burn Center, Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and a daughter, Mona Kay. Survivors include his wife, Alma; two sons, Dale of Edmond, Oklahoma and Glenn of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; three brothers: Charlie, Leo, and Frank (Pete) Laubach, all of Okeene, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson, as well as many other relatives and friends.
