Services for Thomas E. Kendall, Sr. were held on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at the Harvey-Douglas Chapel. Place of Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma with Rev. Ernest Lieru officiating. He was born on May 19, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to George B. and Georgianna Alberta Rinker Kendal. He passed away on November 8, 2001 at the age of 71. Mr. Kendal had been a Lone Grove resident since moving here in 1983 from Wyoming. While living in Okeene, Oklahoma he was the co-owner of an Oil Company. Thomas was an avid sportsman, having been an instructor for hunter safety classes, professional archer and loved to play golf and fish. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Navy. Thomas was a retired technician from the Sears Company. Mr. Kendall was active in the Lone Grove Senior Citizens Center and was a 32nd Degree Mason, Eagle Scout and at one time a Scoutmaster, VFW and of the Episcopal faith. Thomas married Joan Roberts Blair on July 1, 1974 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Joan of the home; sons: Tom Jr. and wife Jackie Kendall of Isabella, Oklahoma; Ben Kendall of Okeene, Oklahoma; Lance and wife Janie Blair of Davis, Oklahoma; and Kalton "Kal" and wife Becky Kendall of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; daughters Georgianna and husband Randy Nusz of Havland, Kasas, Renee and husband David Sykes of Avon Park, Florida; Shawn and Patrick Ryden of Tuson, Arizona; Wendi and husband Dave Venditti of Providenc, Rhode Island and Halie and husband Michael Roberts of Ardmore, Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
