KNOPP, QUENTIN 1918-2002
Quentin Knopp was born October 26th, 1918 at Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma, to Martin and Lena (Haffey) Knopp, and passed away Thursday, December 19th, 2002 at the age of 84. He was a resident of the Okeene community all of his life where he was a dairy and wheat farmer. He attended Deep Creek School and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Senior Citizens Group. Quentin married Helena Luetkemeyer on February 12th, 1941 in Okeene, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, and two sisters. Quentin is survived by three sons, Richard Knopp and wife Noni of Okeene, Oklahoma; Larry Knopp and wife Connie of Okeene, Oklahoma; Paul Knopp and wife Lana of Killeen, Texas; five daughters: Shirley Patocka and husband Al of Enid, Oklahoma; Marie Pearce and husband Bob of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Virginia Harmon and husband Bill of Arvada, Colorado; Rita Karbs and husband Bill of Canadian, Texas; Sharon Boyd and husband Ron of Enid, Oklahoma; one sister, Ruby Laubach of Okeene, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A Rosary service was held Sunday, December 22nd, 2002 in Okeene, Oklahoma at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Okeene. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, December 23rd, 2002 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Okeene, Oklahoma with Father David Cowden celebrant. Burial followed in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Okeene, Blaine County, Oklahoma. Arrangements were by Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to the Circle of Love Hospice in Enid, Oklahoma through the funeral home.
