KISLING, LURAL PEGGY (CUMMINS) 1908-2002
Funeral service for Lural (Peggy) Kisling, 93, who died on Friday, June 14, 2002 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma was held at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Goltry, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 18th, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Norman Cullumber officiated. Burial followed at Karoma Cemetery near Goltry. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home of Helena, Oklahoma. Peggy was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma on June 26th, 1908, the daughter of Thomas and Hannah (Higbee) Cummins. She graduated from Carnegie High School. She moved to Goltry and worked as a telephone operator for twenty years for the Goltry Telephone Exchange. She then married Walter (Jerry) Kisling and they made their home in Wichita, Kansas. They returned to Goltry where she worked as a cook for the Goltry School for 23 years. She was active in her church, the Senior Citizens, Easter Star, and loved to play pitch and bridge and do tatting. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church of Christ through Lanman Funeral Home.
