KOEHN, B. W. 1926-2002
Funeral service for B. W. Koehn, 76, who died Sunday, September 8th, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma, was held Wednesday, September 11th, 2002 at New Hopedale Mennonite Church in Meno, Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. Larry Brashear. Burial followed in New Hopedale Mennonite Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena, Oklahoma. B. W. was born April 9th, 1926 in Meno, the son of Ben W. Koehn and Lydia (Unruh) Koehn. He attended a rural grade school and graduated from OBA High School. He was in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946. On July 24th, 1953 B. W. and Lorraine Eversole were married in Elk City, Kansas. He lived in the Meno area his entire life and was a farmer and owned and operated a dairy. He was a lifetime breeder of Jersey Cattle and was a member of the Jersey Cattle Association. He was also a lifetime member of the New Hopedale Mennonite Church and enjoyed his grandchildren. B. W. is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Meno; three children and their spouses, Marla Jean and Trent Clinesmith of New Orleans, Louisiana; Berneta and Clemo Haddox of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, and Steve and Patricia Koehn of Meno; one brother, Paul Koehn of Concordia, Kansas; one sister, Darlene Driedger of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; seven grandchildren: Andrew, Blair and Brianna Clinesmith, Lisbeth and Benjamin Haddox, Blake and Hope Koehn. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Vern and Levi Koehn; and one sister, Lisbeth Friesen. Memorials may be made to New Hopedale Mennonite Church through Lanman Funeral Home, Inc.
